Dr Watkins is absolutely the best!!!! You can tell when he talks to you, he is genuinely concerned. I have gone to other clinics and I always have to go see Dr Watkins to "fix" me and get me back to health. I quit going anywhere else because it is wasted time if you're in Ardmore area!!
I never got a call back from them and I had to call just to find out about an appointment, I was told he would prefer me to stay with the VA. If anyone knows how worthless the VA primary care physicians are then you know seeing a private physician is a huge benefit and usually a 100% better. Dr. Watkins is a joke of a doctor if he won’t treat Veterans who feel like they aren’t getting the proper care, then I wouldn’t suggest anyone see him!
Dr. Watkins is very slow about calling in medication to the pharmacy for the patients they could be dying and he would not care one bit maybe if he would stop flirting with his secretarys he may get some work done.
I tried for 2 weeks to get into see the doctor. Had to get my medical records for him from the Veterans Administration before they would even see me. I told them I feel like I’m not getting proper care with the VA and want to get a physical and just get checked out.
Waited 3 weeks for an appointment. I called the secretary 2 times during the 2 week period to verify the appointment. Finally by week 3 I called 1 more time, & the secretary told me he is not seeing new patients. Absolutely rediculous I waited 3 weeks just for the secretary to tell me this. I filled out paperwork, they had all my contact information & I talked to the secretary several times. Why didn't she simply call & notify me about this in the beginning. Very unprofessional & inconsiderate. I will let everybody know how amateur this doctors office is. Word of mouth goes a long way & hopefully they will learn to be considerate of the average person's time and needs.
Love Watkins been using him for years, never once have I ever had a issue I will continue to use him as my Dr. My parents use him and like him also! 5 stars for me!
